With the strong desire to grow his analytical mind, a chance was taken. Our founder, Tim Ford, decided to take a chance on himself and answer a request that an old colleague had. The request was to do part time Looker development for an early start up consulting company. While nothing was guaranteed, and with an already full time schedule, Tim took a chance to help his old colleague build out the Looker instance. Tim woke up at 5am every single weekday to attend morning stand up calls, flip over to his day time job, work a full day, flip back over to the side hustle to produce Looker development in addition to weekend Looker development. From new view files, to validating data, to answering Teams messages and conducting meetings, Tim was able to handle both a full time job and a part time Looker Development job with success.

This experience comes in addition to years of previous Data and Analytics projects. From working with the Chicago Cubs early in his career, Tim was able to build end to end data pipelines for the Cubs. From there, Tim moved on to a consulting career where he got exposed to many different industries ranging from Big Tech, start ups, education organizations, ERP systems, GCP integrations and more!

• Designed and deployed end to end data pipeline with Python + Informatica/Matillion/Dataform + Snowflake/BigQuery + Looker/Omni.

• Migrated legacy reporting dashboards from Power BI/Flash to Looker. This cut monthly compute costs by 35% while improving query performance by 4x.

• Built 150+ Looker Dashboards processing 2TB+ of data. Allowed the organization to monitor their international sales in real time around the globe.

• Dashboard migrations into Looker & Omni + data integrations through Python.

• Data integrations leveraging GCP Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Big Query and Looker Studio.

• Looker workshops with companies who recently purchased Looker and needed a 3 hour session to understand how the product works.
